Ice Spice Enlists Gunna, Travis Scott For Debut Album ‘Y2K!’
Ice Spice has arrived, her highly anticipated project Y2K! is set to release on July 26. On Wednesday, July 17, she revealed the full tracklist, featuring collaborations with Travis Scott, Gunna, and Central Cee.
The 10-song album kicks off with “Phat Butt,” which was released earlier this year along with a self-directed video. In this RiotUSA-produced track, the Bronx native references Nicki Minaj, Pauly D from Jersey Shore, and Michael Jackson, among other pop culture figures.
Next on the list is “Oh Shhh…” featuring Travis Scott. The duo first previewed the song during the London stop of Scott’s “UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR.” Other new tracks include “Popa” and “B**ch I’m Packin’,” the latter marking her first collaboration with Gunna. Pre-release singles include “Gimmie A Light,” “Think U The S**t (Fart),” and “Did It First” with Central Cee.
Fans noticed that Y2K! does not feature any female collaborations, despite earlier rumors of potential appearances by Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj.
“I just can’t wait for my fans to hear the new music. There are some new songs on there that sound different from a lot of my other songs. I’m so excited about that,” Ice Spice told Complex in an interview. “There’s definitely pressure. I think I put a lot of pressure on myself, too, but overall, I’m just excited to express myself.”
The Y2K! World Tour kicks off its North American leg in Washington, D.C., on July 30, with shows in cities like Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, and Oakland. With Cash Cobain as a supporting act, the tour will conclude in Miami Beach on August 31.
