Shaboozey had finally earned his first No. 1 with his hit single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” according to the Billboard Hot 100. Also the record had made its way to over 60 million view on YouTube and counting. Shaboozey makes him the first black country artist to top both Hot 100 and Hot Country songs charts. After coming a few months after being of the special guests feature on Beyoncé’s album, Cowboy Carter, Shaboozey can’t help but to thank the Houston native icon for the opportunity.

“I had been wanting to flip a 2000s song for a while,” Shaboozey told Billboard. “I just said, ‘Everybody at the bar getting tipsy,’ and then we were like, ‘Oh, s**t!’ The producer picked up the guitar and started playing the chords, and then we started writing, just having fun and being creative.”

Shaboozey released his debut 12-track album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, that has special guests by BigXThaPlug, Noah Cyrus and Paul Cauthen.
