DDG & Halle Bailey Share New Photos of Baby Halo
Halle Bailey and DDG just shared some adorable family photos!
The Little Mermaid star, 24, and rapper, 26, posted a series of vacation pics with their 6-month-old son Halo, revealing his face publicly for the first time.
“halo’s first time in italy 🤍🌊,” Bailey captioned her July 3 Instagram post. The Color Purple star shared three photos with her boyfriend and their son.
The first photo shows the three of them on a small pier above the ocean, with DDG holding Halo up in the air and Bailey holding onto their baby’s leg as they all smile for the camera.
In the second photo, Bailey cradles Halo while DDG stands behind them, smiling. The last photo features Bailey posing with Halo on her hip.
DDG also shared photos on Instagram, captioning his post, “la familia ♥️ who halo look like more? 😂.”
Unlike Bailey, DDG included a snapshot of Halo crying with him mimicking his son’s expression. The remaining photos included a portrait of the three sitting and smiling together, a solo shot of DDG and Halo, a close-up of Halo, and a final baby photo of himself.
Followers quickly turned to the comments to vote on who Halo resembles more, with most saying he looks like his mom.
The couple welcomed Halo in December 2023. Bailey announced his birth in an Instagram post on Jan. 6, 2024.
There had been speculation about her pregnancy, but Bailey and DDG kept it under wraps until her Instagram reveal. At the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards in March 2024, Halle explained that she kept the news private out of “a place of protection.”
“There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone,” she said. “Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that.”
In February, the couple spoke about their life as new parents with Entertainment Tonight.
“It’s wonderful,” Bailey told the outlet. “I love our baby so much. We’re so happy.”
Echoing Bailey, DDG added, “It’s amazing.”
