Nonetheless, here at MusicXclusives, we have provided you with a list of artists to keep your eye on for 2024. These artists are tapping into their innovative mindset, working and carving their own lane to be prosperous in the industry.

Honey Bxby

Women are continuing to take the lead in the music industry. Asbury Park native, Atlantic Records signee, and certified R&B newcomer, Honey Bxby is an excellent example of succeeding women. From making her debut on the Amplified Stage at BET’s 2023 Soul Train Awards to now gracing her presence at events such as HOT 97’s Summer Jam and Mary J Blige’s SOAW Festival, Honey is making major strides in her career. With only releasing one EP, ‘3 Words, 8 Letters’ back in 2023 landing her a record deal, Honey Bxby is definitely an artist you want to keep your eyes on.

Jaewon

Really Jaewon, known for being the son of rap legend Jadakiss, but with his lyrical skills he’s proving that he’s more than that. Reigning from the northside of Yonkers, Jaewon has gained traction with his 2023 freestyle over his dad’s ‘Put Your Hands Up’ record, his album The Heart of the North, and his mixtape Won of them Wons. Many times Jaewon will post a snippet of unreleased music to his Instagram feed only leaving us wanting more. Just this past week, Jaewon managed to gain his first major label project look featuring on Capella Grey’s debut album with their record, “Fly Shit.” With rap legends guiding him in his career, lyrical charisma, and his notable confidence Jaewon is a certified upcomer.

Cash Cobain

Bronx native Cash Cobain has been going crazy in these streets for 2024. Cash has introduced a new sound to New York, making him the face of R&B, or as some call it “sexy”, drill music. His records which include, “Rump Punch,” “Dunk Contest,” and “Fisherrr” (Remix) which feature Ice Spice are proof that he’s taking this year as his own. Being sure to expand his musical skills beyond just a rapper, Cobain has been named as one of the 2024 #GRAMMYsNextGen Producer Ambassadors for his innovative approach as a producer and artist. Cobain is a certified newcomer who works to be well-rounded, guaranteed to continue to take 2024 by storm.

Journey Montana

Some might recognize her for her role as Jen on CW’s All American while some recognize her for her Instagram and Facebook musical covers. Either way, Journey Montana is a stamped and certified newcomer who is working to make her way to the top. Mastering her sound, and inspiring young girls to embrace their authentic selves, Journey is creating her own lane toward triumph. Landing her collaboration with Grammy award-winning producer Eric Bellinger on ‘Undefeated’ back in 2023, Journey proves that it’s only up from here.

Kenzo B

Kenzo B has been named “The Queen of Bronx Drill” with her vicious, vulnerable, and quick-witted bars. With a moniker as such, it’s only right that Kenzo be stamped as certified. Back in 2022, Kenzo was signed to French Montana’s Coke Boys label through Warner and according to The Fader she has been recognized as one of the industry’s promising new lights.

Liana Banks

Liana Banks is a certified songwriter who stepped into the creative world as a singer. Working with artists such as Jodeci, Saweetie, Cleopatra, and Lola Brooke, Liana has shown no sign of slowing down. Earlier this year, it was reported that Liana is currently working on her debut EP. Fans can expect it to be a cultivation of her life experiences as well as her romantic relationships. Be prepared to hear more from “the chill chick with the green hair & the raspy voice,” ultimately known as Liana Banks.

Hunxho

Certified newcomer Hunxho has been delivering bangers for the hip-hop game recently. Hailing from East Atlanta, Hunxho found his lane in the autotune scene, perfecting his craft, managing to receive a major feature from 21 Savage back in 2022 for his single ‘Let’s Get It’. The East Atlanta native just recently got off his ‘One Night Only’ tour and dropped his EP ‘Before The Album’ earlier this month. Consistency and hard work seem to be the only thing on Hunxho’s agenda.

Maeta

Just releasing her new EP, Endless Night, via Roc Nation Records on June 21st, Maeta is a certified newcomer. Maeta has grown up in music, inspired by her parents as they were creatives, has inked a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music, collaborated with Chris Brown on his 11:11 album and so much more in her musical career. One of her main goals at this moment is to go on tour. As she continues to climb the charts and put her name out in the world, Maeta is guaranteed to become a major success.

41

Rap trio, Jenn Carter, TaTa, and Kyle Richh have been taking NYC under their reigns and have shown no sign of slowing down. 41 operates as a group but also creates music individually. Despite also having solo careers, the group guarantees to only support one another while still remaining a group. Tapping into a new era in Brooklyn’s drill scene, 41 brings fresh and infectious energy into their music. Sign, stamp and seal rap group, 41, as certifiable newcomers.

Scarlip

This is New York! Scarlip, known for her hit record ‘This Is New York’ after signing a distribution deal with Epic, was originally found by her song going viral on TikTok, ‘Glizzy Gobbler’. Since her breakout, Scarlip caught the attention of legends including Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Swizz Beatz, and more! Her gritty, DMX-like sound has captured the likes of many but people are also taken away by her upbringing story that she frequently would freestyle about. It’s clear the people are looking for an artist to bring back that gritty New York sound and fans are in high hopes that Scarlip will be just that. Certify Scar as one of hip hop’s hottest newcomers.
