Pharrell presented his latest Spring/Summer 2025 Men’s Collection for Louis Vuitton on Tuesday (June 18) during Paris Fashion Week, marking the second consecutive year that a new Clipse song debuted at the event.

Around the 40-minute mark of the show, eerie piano chords began playing for approximately two minutes before John Legend’s voice came in singing, “The birds don’t sing.”

Pusha T then delivered poignant verses, reflecting on the recent passing of his mother, Mildred Thornton, in November 2021. He emotionally rapped, “Lost in emotion, mama’s youngest/ Tryna navigate life without my compass/ Some experience death and feel numbness/ But not me, I felt it all and couldn’t function.”

Following Pusha T, his brother No Malice took over the second verse, focusing on their father, Elliott Thornton Sr., who passed away in March 2022. “Your car was in the driveway, I knew that you were home/ By the third knock, a chill ran through my bones/ The way you miss mama, I guess I should’ve known/ Chivalry ain’t dead, you ain’t let her go alone,” he rapped, recounting the moment he discovered their father’s body.

This isn’t the first time Clipse has premiered new music at a fashion event. Last year, they debuted a song that stirred excitement in the rap community with its subtle jabs at Jim Jones, who had controversially stated that Pusha T isn’t among the top 50 rappers of all time.

Billboard reached out to representatives for Pusha T for further details. While they declined to provide specific information, they confirmed that the track played during the show is indeed a new Clipse record. “No details to share right now, other than that it is indeed new Clipse that played during the show,” they stated.

Stay tuned for updates on this rumored project that Clipse is reportedly working on.
