On Sunday evening, Kai Cenat responded to criticism regarding his presence at North West’s 11th birthday party. Kim Kardashian had invited the internet personality because her daughter is a big fan of his Twitch channel.

Addressing the backlash on social media during a livestream, Cenat clarified that his interaction with North is purely professional and based on her admiration as a fan. “To those who found yesterday strange, let me explain: First and foremost, I am North’s favorite streamer. All she wanted was to meet me,” he explained.

Cenat continued, emphasizing:

“Anyone who made it awkward, that’s the strange part. I have many parents whose children would love to meet me, and I’d meet them all if I could. We had a great time. Meeting North was great; she has wonderful friends.”

The birthday party was held at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey, where Cenat was a featured guest alongside Rayasianboy. “The vlog will be out tomorrow. It’s over 30 minutes long. If you want to see how the day went, it was amazing,” said the New York native.

It’s noteworthy that Cenat and Ye, North’s father, had a disagreement in March after the rapper sent him merchandise that allegedly didn’t fit. “Don’t joke about my clothes when you aren’t saying anything about what Adidas is doing,” Ye expressed via Instagram. “When ‘Vultures’ came out, you didn’t play my verse… You are controlled. Don’t play with me.”

As of mid-2024, Cenat has already collaborated with several notable figures such as Druski, 21 Savage, Kevin Hart, Tyla, NLE Choppa, and Lil Yachty during his streams.
