Sexyy Red found herself in trouble recently when she was arrested at Newark Liberty International Airport following a skirmish involving her entourage. TMZ unveiled surveillance footage of the incident on Tuesday (June 11).

The video depicted the St. Louis rap sensation brandishing a stanchion as a weapon, although she quickly relinquished it. Shortly afterward, she was pulled away from the fracas as onlookers and airport staff observed.

The Port Authority confirmed to the media that Red was apprehended on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Other individuals involved in the altercation faced assault charges, while the purported victims received treatment for minor injuries at a hospital.

Reacting to The Neighborhood Talk’s repost of the incident, one social media user exclaimed, “She was about to knock someone out with a pole!” Another humorously suggested that Red might end up on the Transportation Security Administration’s No Fly List: “I am NOT causing any kind of disturbance in an airport.”

Sonny Digital raised a legitimate query, asking, “Seriously, how does TMZ manage to obtain all the security footage so quickly?” Red herself addressed the viral video on Twitter, sharing a clip of herself donning a cheetah-print bonnet with the caption, “That wasn’t me.”

On Monday (June 10), the artist behind “Pound Town” informed her followers, “Just got out,” and offered to replace the phones of those involved. “To the people that were in that altercation at the airport, please direct message me,” one of her Instagram Stories urged.

Red’s latest project, “In Sexyy We Trust,” was released on May 24. Featuring 14 tracks, the album boasted standout hits like the Drake collaboration “U My Everything” and “Get It Sexyy.” It also included “Lick Me” featuring Lil Baby.

The Atlanta rapper later teased a forthcoming track that he and the mother of two are collaborating on, sampling Trick Daddy and Trina’s 1998 classic “Nann N**ga.”
