Invest Fest is making waves this year with an exciting new addition: the inaugural Nipsey Hussle Business Grant. Featuring a $100,000 Invest Fest Pitch Competition, this event promises to be a game-changer for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The top four finalists will be able to present their pitches on the main stage of Invest Fest 2024, vying for the grand prize. The Neighborhood Nip Foundation: Continuing Nipsey Hussle’s Legacy

Established in 2019, the Neighborhood Nip Foundation aims to extend Nipsey Hussle’s legacy by inspiring the community through initiatives that benefit underprivileged youth. Most recently, the foundation served as an official charity partner for the 2024 LA Marathon, with over 65 participants completing the 26.2-mile race. Funds from this event are dedicated to the rebirth of the Nipsey Hussle Plaza, located at 3420 W. Slauson Ave., the original site of The Marathon Store in Los Angeles, CA.

The renovated site will serve as a community center for elementary through high school students, offering programs ranging from academic studies to music and studio access. Led by foundation staff and community volunteers, the center will provide exclusive access to The Marathon Store, free haircuts at Steve’s Barbershop (named after Hussle’s childhood friend and business partner, Stephen “Fatts” Donaldson), and more. The Neighborhood Nip Foundation is slated to open its doors in 2024, continuing Hussle’s mission to aid and encourage youth to reach their highest potential.

Application and Notification Details

All Nipsey Hussle Business Grant applications will be reviewed after the posted deadline. Successful applicants will be notified via email by August 16th, 2024. Notification is subject to eligibility verification and compliance with all the terms and conditions outlined in the competition rules.
