Lil Baby Teases New Collab w/ Sexyy Red Sampling Trick Daddy & Trina’s ‘Nann N**ga’

Sexyy Red and Lil Baby are collaborating on new music. On Friday night (May 31), the Atlanta rapper gave fans a sneak peek of their upcoming track, which samples Trick Daddy and Trina’s 1998 hit “Nann N**ga.”

Lil Baby shared the preview on his Instagram Stories, captioning it “[Sexyy Red] loading…” along with a video of himself rapping to the track. He delivered lines over the Righteous Funk Boogie-produced beat:

“You ain’t never ever had a n**ga like this/ Either way, you don’t gotta use spit,” he rapped. “Look me in your eyes, don’t stop this, yeah/ You ain’t never met a n**ga this player/ Got a lil’ boyfriend, so, I don’t care/ I’ll lie for you, I ain’t gon’ tell.”

Many artists have attempted to rework “Nann N**ga” over the years, but opinions vary on whether they captured the original’s energy. One social media user commented under The Neighborhood Talk’s repost, “I think she picked the wrong person to hop on the track. [DaBaby] fits the song way better.”

Another user echoed this sentiment, saying, “She definitely should have had DaBaby instead of Lil Baby on a beat like this… DaBaby would have skated on this beat.” Someone else suggested that fellow Floridians would have been a better fit: “Kodak [Black] and Yung Miami would’ve [done] this better!”

Lil Baby and Sexyy Red previously collaborated on “Lick Me” from Red’s album In Sexyy We Trust, released on May 24. The 14-track LP also featured standout songs like “U My Everything” with Drake and “Get It Sexyy.”

Meanwhile, Lil Baby released new tracks “350” and “Crazy” in December 2023. His latest album, It’s Only Me, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2022 and includes popular tracks such as “Forever” featuring Fridayy and “In A Minute.”
