Bia Snaps Back on Social Media at Cardi B Over New ‘Wanna Be’ Diss
Bia seems to be firing back at Cardi B after Cardi appeared to throw shade at her in GloRilla’s new “Wanna Be (Remix).”
Bia Responds to Cardi B Diss?
On Friday (May 31), GloRilla released the “Wanna Be (Remix),” featuring a verse from Cardi B. Toward the end of her verse, Cardi seemingly takes jabs at Bia.
“Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me (Ah)/She did what? Had no idea (Idea)/Thought she was on the shelf, Ikea (Ikea),” Cardi raps. “Better talk like that when I see her (Woo)/Bh, please, don’t nobody wanna be ya (Ah)/Cheap lookin’ as he, weak lookin’ as he/Great Value me lookin’-as he/Girl, these bes be p**y/Delete every tweet lookin’-as h*e.”
A few hours later, Bia posted two messages that seemed to address the apparent diss.
“B****S IS WACK. B****S IS TRASH” Bia posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I SHOULD HANG B****S RIGHT OVER MY KNEE, THE WAY I BE PUTTIN MY BELT TO THEY A******S [crying laughing emojis].”
In another post, Bia shared a clip from a rap battle where one female rapper’s lines are met with silence and a dismissive “What?” from her opponent.
Cardi B and Bia’s Beef Explained
The tension between Cardi B and Bia has been simmering for some time, with online speculation suggesting Cardi has been copying Bia’s style. This came to a head in March when Cardi released her “Like What Freestyle,” which samples Missy Elliott’s “She’s a B***h.” Bia had used the same sample a year earlier in her track “I’m That B***h.” Bia then responded to fans’ comments on X accusing Cardi of swagger jacking.
In one post, Bia shared multiple woozy face emojis after a fan noted, “Bia is definitely on Cardi’s mood board a lot.”
She later agreed, responding, “No [for real],” when a fan commented that the similarities between Cardi and Bia were “getting weird.”
The apparent diss from Cardi B comes just months after she stated in April that she would no longer be taking shots at other female rappers.
