Nicki Minaj Close Behind
Nicki Minaj follows closely with six nominations:
- Album of the Year for Pink Friday 2
- Best Female Hip Hop Artist
- Video of the Year for “Barbie World” with Ice Spice and Aqua
- BET Her for “Blessings” with Tasha Cobbs Leonard
- Best Collaboration for “Everybody” with Lil Uzi Vert and “Barbie World” with Ice Spice and Aqua
Other Top Nominees
J. Cole, Sexyy Red, SZA, and Victoria Monét each garnered five nominations, while 21 Savage, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, and Usher are tied with four nominations each.

Voting for the Viewer’s Choice Award kicks off on June 6, 2024, and runs until June 30, 2024, at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET. This is an exciting opportunity for fans to have their voices heard and support their favorite artists.

A Legacy of Celebrating Black Culture
For over two decades, the BET Awards has been a pillar of Black culture, consistently being the #1 cable award show among all adults 18-49 and Black adults 18-49. The event is renowned for honoring the best, brightest, and most beautiful aspects of the Black experience, celebrating both the present and future of Black music, creativity, and sportsmanship.
The Theme: Standing On Culture
Anchored by this year’s theme, “Standing On Culture,” the BET Awards 2024 will not only celebrate achievements in entertainment but also serve as a driving force for social change. This year’s show is executive produced by Connie Orlando, with Jamal Noisette co-executive producing for BET, and Jesse Collins Entertainment handling production.
Culture’s Biggest Week
In addition to the awards ceremony, BET is transforming Culture’s Biggest Night into Culture’s Biggest Week with the BET Experience 2024. This includes two live concert lineups featuring music superstars such as Cardi B, Davido, Gunna, The Roots, Common, Queen Latifah, and many more. The BET Experience will offer attendees unforgettable live performances, comedy shows, culinary delights from Black-owned businesses, and unique entertainment experiences like a roller-skating rink curated by DJ Mustard.
