Sexyy Red Announces Her New Project ‘In Sexyy We Trust’
On Thursday evening (May 16), Sexyy Red revealed her upcoming project, In Sexyy We Trust. Accompanied by a teaser for the track “Awesome Jawsome,” the full-length release is slated to drop next Friday (May 24).
In the chorus of “Awesome Jawsome,” Red references her 2023 single “Shake Yo Dreads”: “I like dreadheads, I put ‘em on their knees/ It’s a barbeque, you got the grill? I got the meat/ Give me that awesome jawsome, suck it, baby, use your teeth/ Shake your dreads between my legs, do it for a G.”
In Sexyy We Trust is expected to include Red’s latest single, “Get It Sexyy.” In March, she released the music video for the Tay Keith-produced track, which has already garnered over 7.8 million views on YouTube. The video features notable cameos from Drake, Soulja Boy, and Adin Ross.
In December 2023, the St. Louis native dropped the deluxe edition of Hood Hottest Princess, featuring 11 new tracks, including one titled “Sexyy Red For President.” The album included collaborations with 42 Dugg, G Herbo, Chief Keef, and Summer Walker.
This year, Red has also made several guest appearances. Nardo Wick featured her on “Somethin’” in February, and Nicki Minaj enlisted her for “FTCU (SLEEZEMIX)” in April. The “Pound Town” hitmaker also teamed up with Chief Keef for “Grape Trees” from Almighty So 2 last Friday (May 10).
