Ice Spice: Rising Star Who Keeps Her Love Life a Mystery
Ice Spice is quickly ascending the ladder to stardom, with two of her tracks gracing the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this year. While her career is in the spotlight, she remains committed to keeping her personal life out of public scrutiny.
In a recent feature by the Los Angeles Times on October 12th, the Bronx rapper confirmed that she is indeed dating but chose to keep her partner’s identity a well-guarded secret. She explained:
“[I want my fans] to keep their focus on what I’m here for, which is music,”
Spice’s relationship status inevitably became a topic of discussion on social media, with fans speculating about her romantic connections. In February, there were rumors linking her to comedian Pete Davidson, but those rumors were quickly debunked.
Since her recent interview, some fans have theorized that she might be dating her producer, RiotUSA. However, Spice has refrained from adding fuel to these speculations and has continued to steer the conversation back to her music, making it clear that her artistic journey is her primary focus.
During her interview with the LA Times, Spice also discussed her close working relationship with her beatmaker. She described the dedication and hard work she has poured into her music, sharing her early struggles with recording.
“It’s a lot of effort. I’ve spent countless hours in the studio. I’ve cried in the booth. When I was first learning how to record, I didn’t like my voice, and I had to keep finding pockets. One time, I was recording a song, and one of the lines took me, I kid you not, 400 takes.”
She continued:
“Just an unnecessary amount of takes. I realized in that moment I had to get better, and only time lets you get better. I had to learn pitch, like really study, but thankfully, that was years ago, and it sounds way better.”
In January, Spice released her debut EP titled, Like..?, which received an update with a deluxe version in July. This deluxe version featured several hit singles, including “Deli,” “Princess Diana (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj, and “Butterfly Ku,” among others.
On October 13th, she treated her fans to a brand new track called “Pretty Girl” with the talented artist Rema. Ice Spice continues to captivate her audience with her music, leaving her private life shrouded in mystery while her star continues to rise.
