6ix9ine Arrested In Florida
Controversial rapper 6ix9ine (Daniel Hernandez) is once again finding himself on the wrong side of the law, this time in Palm Beach County, Florida.
According to reports from Page Six, he was taken into custody on the evening of August 9th due to his absence in court. Although specifics about his arrest are limited, jail records show that he was released approximately three hours after his arrest, having paid a $2,000 bond.
Failing to appear in court in Florida can carry either fines or jail time, as outlined by West Palm Beach Defense. The level of the penalty is subject to the nature of the individual case and the discretion of the presiding judge.
UPDATE
In a recent development, TMZ reports that the arrest was consequent to three traffic tickets 6ix9ine received in June. He was caught exceeding the speed limit—clocking in at 135 mph in a 65 mph zone on the Florida Turnpike. Other citations were issued for operating an unregistered vehicle and lack of car insurance. A subsequent no-show for a court hearing in July prompted an arrest warrant to be issued.
