KitschKrieg And KenTheMan Drop Club-Ready Track “BAD B*TCH”

Known for their powerhouse production and facility with multiple different styles, KitschKrieg are masters of constructing futuristic grooves. Serving up a souped up club jam, the Berlin-based group connects with Houston’s KenTheMan for “BAD B*TCH (BODY, WAIST, LIPS, FACE).” One of the hottest rappers in a flourishing Houston scene, KenTheMan made a name for herself with her sharp lyricism, which earned her a spot on the XXL Freshman list in 2022.
On “”BAD B*TCH (BODY, WAIST, LIPS, FACE),” KitschKrieg craft a minimalist house banger built from a droning bassline, percolating synth pops, and a scraping bit of percussion that resembles heavy panting after hours on the dancefloor. Speeding up her flow to match the percussion, KenTheMan struts atop the German-engineered instrumental with sass and precision, asserting her unattainable status and devising an endlessly chant-able chorus: “Body, waist, lips, face.” In the video, shot, as always, in crisp black-and-white, KitschKrieg film a party in Houston, capturing KenTheMan in her element during a luxurious, yet chaotic late night.
“BAD B*TCH (BODY, WAIST, LIPS, FACE)” is the latest glimpse of German Engineering 1, the upcoming album from KitschKrieg, which features a stacked lineup of guest vocalists from the U.S. and UK rap scenes. Earlier this month, KitschKrieg recruited rising Atlanta rapper Anti Da Menace for the percolating “Really Rich,” and its stylish new music video. KitschKrieg kicked off the GE1 rollout with the 2-step-flavored “Baby,” a collaboration with buzzing UK rapper Arz. German Engineering 1 arrives this summer via KitschKrieg’s own SoulForce Records.
Animated by excellent taste and a dedication to their craft, KitschKrieg created a sound of their own, drawing from influences that range from the holistic approach of Bauhaus to the steely soundscapes of grime to the electronic music of their hometown of Berlin–all while staying out of the way and letting the vocal breathe. A trio comprised of Fizzle, Fiji Kris, and elusive photographer °awhodat°, KitschKrieg rose steadily over the past five years to become one of the biggest acts in German music. KitschKrieg, their 2020 debut album, spawned two #1 hits, generated over 400 million streams across platforms, and featured guest spots from international names like Vybz Kartel and Modeselektor and local heroes like Peter Fox and Trettmann, a star German rapper signed to KK’s SoulForce Records. They’re known for their exquisite taste in streetwear–their new offerings sell out in hours–and have partnered with brands like Nike, Carhartt, and Monopoly.
Last year, KitschKrieg collaborated with Brooklyn drill bruiser DUSTY LOCANE for the brash banger “Ratchets,” which came with a video featuring an early cameo appearance from Ice Spice.
With their sights set on conquering new worlds and German Engineering 1 on the way, KitschKrieg is determined to continue their war against disposable art on foreign shores. Stay tuned for much more.
