Evander Griiim represents his hometown of El Paso, Texas, and he’s here to motivate the masses with each release. No matter what the circumstances, it’s always a good idea to work hard, level up, and have fun while doing it.
The rising star returns with his newest single titled “New Woman,” inspired directly by real life experiences. The record is about trying to find a person within other people. Trying to feel something within other people, then the negative connotations of what that brings. It’s playing with other people’s feelings, trying to fulfill your own. It’s Evander venting, saying he’s doing wrong. Utterly and completely.
Evander states, “I want fans to feel me. Anything I do in my music, I want people to feel the vibrations I’m putting out. I want people to relate. It’s okay to be in touch with your dark side, nobody’s perfect. Everybody has bad things going on. Heartbreak and love, trying to deal with all that. You’re not alone.”
The “New Woman” video follows his previous visual for “Tom Ford,” which he describes as “sexy player music.” All of Evander’s videos are connected, cohesively telling one big story. “Tom Ford” sees Evander in a penthouse with a beautiful female, whereas “New Woman” sees him leaving the apartment asking himself, “What am I doing? I’m living wrong right now.”
