KP SKYWALKA Of Washington, D.C. Releases Soulful Mix ‘SOUTHEAST LOVE STORY’

If you know you know, the southeast neighborhoods of Washington, D.C. have historically been impoverished and has been unfortunately been underfunded for decades. However dealing with certain circumstances comes talented music artists historically from the area whom have made an impact. Shy Glizzy and Marvin Gaye are a few obvious names but the new generation has a more than a few talented artists to keep yes on.

For this edition of artists to look for from Washington, D.C. comes KP SKYWALKA, a very soulful and talented young emcee who released one of my favorite projects of 2023 so far with ‘SOUTHEAST LOVE STORY.’ You can hear the obvious D.C. influence but also in my opinion I can listen and find some ques from artists such as Jay Z, young Wiz Khalifa, and Big Krit. Yes, that’s a unique combination but it’s some about KP that is special.

The story telling and the overall smoothness of KP’s flow is something serious. I hear somebody that if they get the right overall push that they can blow up nationally at least if not internationally. KP can be added to a list of some of my favorite newer and budding Washington, D.C. rappers which includes Balla, Damo, Baby Fifty, Schlish, Paco Panama, NSC Kai, and Z-Wayne.
