“Wait For U” Wins Best Melodic Rap Performance at 2023 GRAMMYS Including Production Assistance From 1SRAEL

At last night’s GRAMMYS, Future, Drake, and Tems took home the win for “Best Melodic Rap Performance” for “Wait For U” – and two out of five producers of the track, ATL Jacob & 1SRAEL, were there on stage to accept the award.

ATL Jacob and 1SRAEL delivered a short speech:

“Man this is crazy, I couldn’t even tell you how I feel right now,” 1SRAEL said. “Thank you to Tems, thank you to ATL Jacob, thank you to FNZ, Tejiri, thank you to Drake, Future … I’m speechless as you can see.”

“Wait For U” was also nominated in two other categories, “Best Rap Song,” and “Best Rap Album.”

Best Melodic Rap Performance is 1SRAEL’s first Grammy win. The Grammy-award winning producer has a list of accolades under his belt, including winning a BET Award for Best Collaboration, and an AMA award for Best Hip-Hop Song for his work on Future’s “WAIT FOR U.”

“WAIT FOR U” was produced by ATL Jacob, 1SRAEL, FNZ, Tejiri Akpoghene, and Sonic Major.
