New York Native Memoir. Releases Single “Heavy Heart”
New York drill artist Memoir. ends the year on a high note expressing his deepest thoughts on new single “Heavy Heart.” The song serves as affirmations to keep Memoir. grounded through hardships faced while growing as an adult. Memoir. shares “This song was written immediately after “Why Don’t We?”. Stating “The record wrote itself. It’s me in real time processing how I felt dealing with a recent break-up, having to navigate through the healing journey alone, while remaining positive, keeping faith that I’ll have a breakthrough.”
After coming off his messy, gut-wrenching experience with heartbreak, Memoir. made an effort to switch things up adding “I wanted to make a record that was true to my circumstances without including the fine details. A palatable record. Some songs are meant to be sung. Melody helps drive the point home.”
Memoir. surpassed one million streams across all streaming platforms earlier in 2022. His recent releases “Poised II.” and “Why Don’t We?” received significant attention across Audiomack, Spotify and TikTok. After reaching new heights this year he brings another offering from his unique approach to NY Drill rap filled with honesty and emotion, “Heavy Heart.” OUT DECEMBER 14TH will be his first release through Roc Nation’s indie distribution service Equity Distribution.
