LUCKI Pays Homage To A Mafioso Classic In “GOODFELLAS” Video
After making his first top 15 debut on the Billboard 200 with FLAWLESS LIKE ME earlier this fall, LUCKI is back with a new video for “GOODFELLAS.” Featuring spaced out, low-key production from New York producer-rapper, Cash Cobain, the track finds LUCKI laying down moody bars in his trademark, laidback cadence, making for one of the more emotional cuts from the project as he croons about a past romance: “Called me out the blue, you seen the news, you said it’s dangerous / Waitin’ on your apology, know you ain’t gettin’ that out of me.”
Directed by frequent collaborator, Lonewolf, the video for “GOODFELLAS” pays homage to Martin Scorsese’s 1990 seminal mafia classic of the same name. We find LUCKI mingling amidst wise guys as they drive out to the sticks to dispose of the opposition and count their bills. “GOODFELLAS” is a highlight from LUCKI’s latest project, FLAWLESS LIKE ME, which landed #12 debut on the Billboard 200 with over 25k sales-equivalent units in its first week, making it his most successful full-length release to date.
The first-ever LUCKI project to welcome featured artists–Future and Babyface Ray make guest appearance–FLAWLESS LIKE ME continues a busy year for the 26-year-old underground hero, marked by sold out shows, festival performances, and 350 million on-demand streams in 2022 alone.
