After much debate and Nicki MInaj lashing out once again at the Recording Academy for excluding her from the rap categories at the 65th GRAMMY Awards, it looks like those behind the scenes have heard her plea and changes are being made as we speak.

Don’t count her out! #NickiMinaj, had the internet in shambles last week when she called out the Grammy’s for moving her hit “Super Freaky Girl” from the rap category to pop, and it looks like the stunt may have gotten their attention. According to a recent report from @Variety, Grammy voters who’ve received their ballots reportedly say that Nicki is in contention in the best rap performance category for another song of hers.

The song in question is her single, “Do We Have a Problem,” which features Lil Baby. The bop dropped in February and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Queen isn’t done yet! Variety also reports she will make several more appearances on the rap part of the Grammy ballot for collaborative songs.

First-round voting for the 65th annual Grammy Awards opened on Thursday (Oct. 13) and closes Oct. 23. Nominees will be announced on Nov. 15. The final-round voting window extends from Dec. 14 through Jan. 4, 2023. Winners will be announced on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as Staples Center) in Los Angeles.
