Elaine Releases New Single “Fading Away”
South African-born Elaine returns today with her new single, “Fading Away.” Teaming up with Canadian producer Stint on the smooth and sultry R&B track, which Elaine co-wrote with Ajay Bhatttacharyya, Christopher Gallant, and Spencer Stewart, the track comes alongside a beautiful pseudo visual as well; see HERE. After a short hiatus following her move to Los Angeles, the 23-year-old singer/songwriter continues to keep her fans satisfied with new music. Listen to the new single HERE.
After making appearances at NYFW at the ADVISRY show and performing at Knockdown Center for Everyday Ppl last month, Elaine is staying busy. She says she’s keeping the “sad girl vibes” for the winter season. “Fading Away” comes off the heels of her dreamy singles “Deja Vu” and “Shine” in anticipation of her forthcoming EP. Named one of HYPEBEAST’s R&B Artists To Watch in 2022 and ESSENCE’s 21 Artists To Watch in 2021, Elaine has quickly proven to be a creative sensation and breath of fresh air in contemporary R&B. The gifted young artist fuses soulful roots with modern tones to concoct a distinctive new sound.
Now boasting over 40M worldwide streams across her growing body of work, Elaine made history with her debut with 2019’s Elements. The 7-song certified-platinum collection blends mellow yet sweet R&B melodies with hints of trap-inspired moodiness and catapulted Elaine to becoming the first independent female artist to ever reach #1 on the Apple Music Sub-Saharan African charts. The EP featured singles like “You’re the One,” “Right Now,” which was featured in Netflix’s Young, Famous & African series, and “When We’re Alone,” featured in BET’s series Sacrifice featuring Paula Patton. Elaine continues to work on her music that will discuss newfound independence as she aims to shed light on South Africa’s burgeoning music scene. For those based in New York, Elaine will be performing at SOB’s on October 19th for the Sol Village R&B concert. Ticket information will be available shortly, so don’t miss out! For now, tune in and enjoy “Fading Away!”
