Philly native and artist PnB Rock was shot dead at a Los Angeles location of Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles. The “Scrubs” rapper was eating with his girlfriend when he was shot amidst being robbed. TMZ reported that  law enforcement received a call about the incident at 1:23 p.m. and that graphic footage circulating online showed him “fighting for his life.” Police shared with reporters that the victim was pronounced dead at a hospital at 1:59 p.m.

“The victim was sitting at a table eating with a female witness when he was approached by the suspect,” Los Angeles Police Capt. Kelly Muniz says in one of the clips below, without stating that it is in fact PnB. “The suspect then brandished a firearm and demanded his property…The suspect then fired multiple rounds and then appears to remove some property, to what extent we don’t know at this time.”

Muniz also revealed the suspect “shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot.” PnB appeared to be the intended target as nobody else was hurt in the shooting.

The rapper’s girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang, whom is also the mother to his 2-year-old daughter Xuri, posted and deleted that they were eating at Roscoe’s on her Instagram Stories. The rapper born Rakim Allen made his debut in 2016 when he dropped his most famous song “Selfish” off his GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions mixtape which was released in 2017. In the past Rock had collaborated with the likes of A Boogie , Russ and Juicy J, most recently he was featured on the hit “Dangerous” with Meek Mill and Jeremih.

Rock is survived by two young children. Our thoughts are with his loved ones in this difficult time.
