22Gz Arrested For Attempted Murder In New York

Brooklyn Rapper 22Gz was released from Jail late Thursday evening. The 24 year old Rapper was in custody at New York City’s infamous Rikers Island, after being charged with attempted murder. The drill rapper was due to perform this past Sunday at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert, however that changed when he was nabbed at JFK airport on Sunday morning. He was arrested on charges stemming from a March 2022 shooting at a Brooklyn party hall where a 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left foot.

The victim had provided a description of the suspect before he was transported to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment, sources said. Two other individuals were shot during this incident. The Flatbush native was also charged with second-degree assault, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment, police said. When he was arraigned on Monday his Bail was set at $500,000. The “Suburban PT 2” rapper reemerged on social media late Thursday and tweeted proclaiming his freedom.
