Ella Mai Drops New Album ’Heart On My Sleeve’

Its been 4 years since Ella Mai blessed the R&B world with an album but her new project has proven to be worth the wait.

The London-born singer dropped her latest project ’Heart On My Sleeve’ and the 15 track body of work is a capsule for the personal journey the artist has embarked on since her double platinum debut ‘Ella Mai.’

Ella Mai explained why it took so long for her to return to the scene with a new project.

Everything you could think of was going through my mind. I hadn’t been in the studio for a while because I had toured all of 2019. So, in 2020 when I first started the album I had to connect again to the studio.

Mai takes us on a transparent ride of love, heartbreak, and coming into your own as a woman on this project.

The album shows Ella Mai in her entirety and gives a sense of freedom and acceptance of just how challenging love can be.

‘Heart On My Sleeve’ features only three other artist s which are Latto, Roddy Ricch, and Lucky Daye. The decision to do this gives us a truly cohesive project but still maximizes the voice of Ella Mai in which the fans have come to love.
