Pooh Sheisty Receives 5 Year Sentence For Gun Charge

Rapper Pooh Shiesty was sentenced to five years and three months in prison Wednesday for his gun conspiracy conviction connected to a heated exchange outside a Florida hotel in October 2020 that ended with a man shot in the buttocks.

The 22-year-old Memphis native, born Lontrell Williams,  was sentenced Wednesday in Miami federal court, according to court records. He plead guilty in January to conspiring to possess firearms in furtherance of crimes of violence and drug trafficking. Sheisty was facing up to 20 years in prison.

Shortly after being sentenced Sheisty shared a  message with fans via Twitter. He sent the message all the way from federal prison, thanking fans for their support and promising new music soon.

here he thanked his fans for their support and teased music on the way for later in April.

“THE BIGGEST.. I JUST WANNA THANK ALL MY LOVED ONES, SUPPORTERS, AND FANS FOR HOLDING ME DOWN DURING THESE HARD TIMES,” the 22-year-old wrote. “I WISH I COULD BE COMING HOME TO YALL TODAY BUT THIS COULDVE BEEN WAYYYY WORSE. I WILL BE BACK SOONER THAN YALL THINK! BUT MEANTIME NEW MUSIC DROP NEXT WEEK! BLRRRD!!!”

 Shiesty was granted time served for the year he’s already spent incarcerated and he could possibly be released after three and a half more years if he shows good behavior. Sheisty & his legal team were reportedly happy with his sentencing and agree things could have been worse.
