Wiz Khalifa Rereleases Classic ‘Taylor Allderdice’ Mixtape To All Streaming Platforms On It’s Tenth Year Anniversary
Featuring hits like “My Favorite Song” ft. Juicy J, “Guilty Conscience”, and “California”, to name a few. The classic mixtape is now available on all DSPs via Taylor Gang & Rostrum Records.
Multi-platinum selling, Grammy nominated recording artist, Wiz Khalifa, originally released the mixtape shortly after the release of his critically acclaimed album, Rolling Papers, which helped the Pittsburgh native breakthrough to the masses. The project helped Khalifa reassure his core fanbase that even though his career had taken off, he would always stay true to that easy-going stoner that he was when he attended Taylor Allderdice High School. The same reigns true regarding the sound that the mixtape embodies.
Having been that same hazy sound that Wiz crafted in Pittsburgh with core contributors like producers Cardo, Big Jerm, I.D. Labs & Sledgren or Taylor Gang artists like Chevy Woods & Lola Monroe. The mixtape also introduced us to the newly found chemistry between Khalifa and Taylor Gang’s newest signee, legendary rapper/producer Juicy J, who raps back and forth with Wiz on four tracks. Taylor Allderdice also features snippets at the end of tracks where Wiz and host Rob Markman, where Wiz discusses his rise to stardom.
The release of this project further indicates Khalifa’s efforts to get more of his classic mixtape catalog for streaming services. In 2020, the rapper celebrated the ten year anniversary of his Kush & Orange Juice mixtape by releasing it on all streaming platforms. Later that year, he also released his early single The Thrill, with the Empire of The Sun sample, to DSPs.
