Cheryl B. Engelhardt releases her instrumental single “The Beautiful Bridge” off of her upcoming ambient album, “The Passenger” due April 22, 2022. The single features GRAMMY-winning New Age artist, Lili Haydn, of Opium Moon. A true connection between emotive instrumental composition and ambient instincts, “The Beautiful Bridge” is a soft and welcoming lullaby showcasing Engelhardt’s wide compositional range.

Engelhardt recalls, “The title comes from a conversation I had with Lili – she called to talk about the death of my dear friend and collaborator, Kevin. She said, `now a beautiful bridge is formed between us and where their spirits are.’

When composer Cheryl B. Engelhardt was scheduled to attend the 2022 GRAMMYs award show and perform at a pre-party, she decided to take a train from NY to LA. However, two weeks prior to her departure, her dearest friend and collaborator died of stage four cancer. Stricken with grief, Engelhardt spent 216 hours (nine days) in a “roomette” processing big emotions. It was just what the Universe had in store to help with her healing process. The trip resulted in a brand-new collection of nine ambient/meditation songs. From the train, Engelhardt sent files to collaborators to contribute their talentsincluding GRAMMY-winning artists Lili Haydn, Sangeeta Kaur, and Danaë Xanthe Vlasse, world-renowned flutist Sherry Finzer and the Dallas String Quartet. Composed and produced entirely on the train trip, The Passenger” will be released on April 22, 2022, and is already a #1 best-selling album on Amazon (thanks to pre-sales).

Cheryl’s record is one of the very few ambient records composed, mixed, and mastered entirely by women. You can learn more and pre-order the album here
