Megan Thee Stallion Calls Out 1501 Certified CEO Carl Crawford After Lawsuit is Dropped: “This Dude Never Knows Wtf Is Going On With His Business”
The drama has been quiet for Megan Thee Stallion and her label 1501 Certified until today. The rapper went on her social media to address 1501 Certified CEO Carl Crawford after he posted an article from Ace Showbiz that Megan Thee Stallion dismissed the case against label and J. Prince without prejudice.
After Carl’s posting Megan called him out reposting the story on Instagram “this dude never knows wtf is going on with his business.”
Now if you guys recall Megan was signed to 1501 Certified in 2018. Things seem to be going well for the rapper who had been the first female signed to the label since Carl Crawford, format MLB player created it. It wasn’t until 2020 after Megan had signed a management deal with Roc Nation that there seem to be cracks in the 1501 foundation.
The lawsuit she’s referring to was originally filed in March 2020 after she accused 1501 Certified Entertainment and J. Prince of blocking her from releasing new music because she wanted to renegotiate what she believed was an unfair contract she signed at the onset of her career.
At the time Crawford dismissed the allegations, saying, “It’s a whole lie. Nothing is true that she said. Me being greedy and taking money from her, that’s crazy. I never tried to take nothing from her. The only thing we ever did was give, give, give.”
Megan continued to express her frustrations on Instagram with a few more posts.
Hopefully things will sort itself out soon for both parties.
