The SEVENth Gets Creative With “Cold Cream”
The SEVENth from Grand Rapids, Michigan has an interesting persona and character. The self proclaimed “Warhol of rap” from his love of both rap and art, The SEVENth sends head nods to Warhol with pop art color schemes and themes in the artwork, content, and in the lyric video for a song off the upcoming project ‘Remind me Again’ titled “Cold Cream” featuring Joose The Conqueror.
He offers a unique blend of classic 90s trpes tied into a Smino style of rap that is pleasant to the ears. A nice add to any rotation looking for an new artist to plug into their playlists. He’s definitely an walking canvas of a variety audible expression for sure.
Whether he’s shaping sounds for his personal music, or creating for/with others, like his recent feature on Waldo’s ‘Lake Effect’ album, or his loose single with Sheefy ‘Space’ – The SEVENth is taking steady strides onward to creative self-expression and collaboration.
When speaking on the title of the new single and upcoming project, The SEVENth says “Like many artists, I had a long stint of creative block due to the world being at a stand still. I had a realization of my reason why eventually, I was reminded, again why I fell in love with art and this art form. That all led to me making this body of work, each track has a special meaning to me as far as my reason why. Each track is a personal reminder.”
