The nominations are in for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: Class of 2022, and has a long list of artists on the roster. For Eminem, this will be his first time being nominated in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame since he is eligible to be considered based on his career’s longevity, stemming for over 25-years from his debut album “Infinite” which was released in 1996.
Alongside Eminem, Dionne Warwrick, Lionel Richie, A Tribe Called Quest, Kate Bush, Carly Simon, Rage Against the Machine, Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Devo, and Judas Priest are also the nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Those who are voted in a higher ranking, will be announced in May and will be inducted officially by fall 2022.
According to the announcement made by John Sykes, Chairman of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, “This year’s ballot recognizes a diverse group of incredible artists, each who has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture,” he continues, “Their music not only moved generations, but also influenced the sound of countless artists that followed.”
For A Tribe Called Quest, this will also be their first time nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame sector, despite their contribution over the span of 30-years. Their debut album “People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm,” was released in 1990 and is certified gold by the RIAA.
