“Pink Moon” is the latest effort from R&B crooner, Pink Sweat$ since his debut album “Pink Planet” was released in early 2021. The 8-track project is a perfect infusion between contemporary rhythm and blues and neo-soul. The Philadelphia native recruited some heavy hitters to be featured on the project, ranging from: 6Lack, Sabrina Claudio, Tori Kelly, Blxt, and KIRBY.
Pink Sweat$ showcases his versatility on the EP, ranging from introspective R&B to a more melodic-trap.
For example, ‘Better’ featuring singer/songwriter Kirby, acquires a romanticized relationship evolving from sensuous play to quality time getting to know one another. With the soothing old school R&B type of beat mixed in with new aged lyricism, this record is laid-back.
On the flip side, Pink Sweat$ recruits Blxt on a more trap-melodious record called ‘For Me.’ Its thought provoking context will permit the listener to become inspired in some shape or form. Blxt goes more in depth on ‘For Me,’ and its representation.
Here are a few notable lyrics from the record:
Know my true to mama feel likе pain ain’t need my company/
Said I only make up time for what I want and that’s what stuck with me/
I’m feeling Godly/
I break the chains that confine me/
Light live inside me/
In essence, the song represents triumph over tribulation, and claiming what’s rightfully entitled to your destiny.
