Ace Hood Announces Upcoming ‘M.I.N.D.’ EP, Shares New Single “Glory”
Since he bought out his major label contract to take control of his art and direction, Ace Hood has tapped into the full potential of his mental, spiritual, and physical power. Today, Ace Hood channels that energy, kicking off the year with the announcement of his upcoming EP, M.I.N.D. (Memories Inside Never Die), along with the release of its new single, “Glory.”
The Olivier Bassil & MakeTheNoises-produced and Holla Fame-engineered “Glory” finds Ace reflecting on the great many obstacles and expectations that stood in the way of the success he was able to achieve, as well as the impediments standing between the Black community and an equitable future: “The blacker the berry, you know ain’t no sort of compassion/Had to study their tactics/We living gods, and they trying to bury our magic/In a devilish fashion,” raps Ace. However, Ace assures listeners that those challenges can be overcome with the focus and dedication he aims to inspire.
“Glory” is the second single to arrive from M.I.N.D., following the glowing, self-assured “Little Light,” released in late 2021. The EP, arriving on February 25thvia Hood Nation/EMPIRE, kicks off what is poised to be a career year in the artist’s independent reign.
