Chris Webby Releases “We Up” With A Verse From The Late Legend DMX
Chris Webby enlisted late Yonkers legend DMX on his new single, “We Up,” off his new album, ‘Still Wednesday.’ “We Up” is a song with an energy reminiscent of the East Coast Hip Hop scene in the early 2000s; as such it pays homage to X and his legacy in the most fitting way imaginable.
This is a “rapper’s rap song.” with a kick and snares you in the face with rhymes similar to ticking time bombs. Longtime collaborators of Webby, Nox Beatz, and JP On Da Track, outdid themselves producing the beat which sounds both classic and fresh at the same time.
“This was DMX’s last ever recorded feature verse. Thank you to everyone who helped make this video. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. RIP to a legend and one of my (and so many others’) biggest inspirations as an emcee. We love you X, thank you for everything. Long live the DOG.” Chris Webby
Along with the track, Chris Unveils a music video, shot by Rook Director, that has scenes that pay tribute to DMX in the grittiest and most “DMX” way possible! His new album ‘Still Wednesday’ also has features from Young MA, Millyz, and Tory Lanez.
