Lil Nas X Partners With Cash App To help Give Youth More Access To Financial Resources

Cash, App

Lil Nas X has announced a new partnership with Cash App, the #1 finance app in the United States, to empower teens by giving them more financial access. Timed to the recent announcement that Cash App is now available to teens with parental authorization, Lil Nas X was excited to share this news with even more young people on social media.
“I’ve been on Cash App for years, and I think it’s amazing they are making it available to anyone 13 and older now,” Lil Nas X states. “I wish they had something like Cash App when I was younger and I think it’s great that more young people can start to take control of their financial futures early on.”
To celebrate this launch and partnership, Lil Nas X is giving away $1 million dollars to those ages 13 and up across his social media channels (TwitterInstagram, and TikTok). This gesture allows Lil Nas X to empower his teen fan base to learn more about money management while also reinforcing Cash App’s mission to redefine the world’s relationship with money by making it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.
The social giveaway campaign launched on Tuesday, November 23 and will continue until the prize is distributed. To participate, anyone can comment with their $cashtag and #CashApp13Plus on his social media channels. Winners will be selected randomly, each winning $20 via Cash App.

About Cash App for Teens
Through authorization from a parent or guardian, individuals between 13 and 17 years of age can now use Cash App to unlock access to digital banking tools to help them seamlessly manage their money and participate in a cashless economy.

  • Send and receive money instantly: Teens can instantly send and receive payments with friends and family via Cash App’s peer-to-peer network of more than 40 million monthly transacting active customers.
  • Customize a debit card: Teens can get a Cash Card — a free to order Visa debit card issued by Cash App’s bank partners— that can be designed to match their unique styles. The Cash Card can be used to pay for goods and services from Cash App balances, both online and in stores. While waiting for the physical card to arrive in the mail, teens can link their new banking information to their Apple Pay and Google Pay wallets and begin spending instantly.
  • Unlock rewards at their favorite retailers: Receive instant discounts on everyday spending through Cash App’s Boost rewards program featuring brands teens know and love.
  • Direct Deposit: Teens can set up Direct Deposit on Cash App to access their paychecks up to 2 days early.
  • Access ATMs anywhere. Cash Cards work at any merchant that accepts Visa, and at any ATM with just a $2 fee. Cash App instantly reimburses ATM fees, including ATM operator fees, for customers who get $300 (or more) in paychecks directly deposited into their Cash App each month.
  • Begin banking with parental authorization. Parents or guardians (ages 18+) are the legal owners of their teen’s account and can review their teen’s monthly spending activity. They can also pause or cancel their teen’s account at any time.

To get started, teens can download Cash App to create a free account. When prompted for identification, teens will send a request to their parent or guardian by providing their email, phone number or $cashtag. Once approved, teens can order their custom Cash Card and instantly begin sending peer-to-peer payments to family and friends. While they wait for their physical card to be delivered, teens can also start making purchases in-person or online at merchants where Visa is accepted with the option to add their Cash Card to their Apple Pay and Google Pay wallets.

Cash App is currently available to teens in the United States. Teens cannot access Bitcoin and Stock Investing at this time. Download Cash App for free today via the App Store or Google Play.
