Being sidelined with a torn ACL doesn’t mean Clippers Small Forward Kawhi Leonard can’t release a Hip-Hop album. The NBA Superstar has chosen this Friday to release part one of his compilation album, Culture Jam Vol. 1. Kawhi has taken the role of overseer, executively producing the album with Eesean Bolden to deliver a seven-track compilation album featuring some of Hip-Hop’s brightest stars.
Youngboy Never Broke Again, Rod Wave, Gunna, Polo G, Lil Uzi Vert, Capella Grey, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Stefflon Don, Wale, Ty Dolla $ign, Yung Bleu, NLE Choppa, and BlueBucksClan are set to make an appearance on the incoming album. ‘Everything Different’ by Youngboy Never Broke Again & Rod Wave, ‘Waves’ by Gunna & Polo G, and ‘Bestie’ by Capella Grey & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie have already been released. Additionally, videos of Kawhi Leonard listening to ‘Thankful’ by Lil Uzi Vert and talking to NLE Choppa over facetime have been making the rounds on social media adding to the hype of fans for the incoming album.
With the tracklist now out and fan reception to the three tracks being positive, the anticipation to hear the other four tracks will build until midnight when the album is released. Kawhi Leonard is already an accomplished basketball player possessing two championships, two Finals MVPs, two Defensive Player of the Year awards, and multiple All-Star game selections. Now within the next 12 hours, Kawhi will be able to add the title of executive music producer to his already long list of accolades.
