Miguel and Nazanin Mandi Splits After 17 Years Together
Singer/Songwriter Miguel and his wife model/actress Nazanin Mandi have announced their separation after 17 years of being together, according to their representative who told PEOPLE in a statement.
The celebrity couple realm seems to become scarcer these days. It seems to be a revolving door with Hollywood relationships; however, this one split has many raising their eyebrows in utter bewilderment.
Singer/Songwriter Miguel and his wife model/actress Nazanin Mandi have announced their separation after 17 years of being together, according to their representative who told PEOPLE in a statement.
“After 17 years together, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi have decided to separate and have been for some time now,” a representative for the estranged couple exclusively told PEOPLE, however, did not disclose the reason for their split but seems to be in a cordial state considering each party wishes one another well. The two does not have any children together [or apart].
Earlier in the year, Nazanin Mandi spoke to PEOPLE – unveiling how the couple managed to keep their marriage solid during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We were used to being around each other a lot, but then we were also used to travelling a lot. [So] Keeping the spark alive was definitely something we had to stay on – because when you’re in different cities, it’s automatic to feel excitement [when you see each other again.]” Mani continues, “But being home [together] all the time, it’s like ‘okay, we have to find new things to watch and to do and to read. It was a lot, but overall, we did great. I have no complaints and I am grateful for everything.”
The couple has been together since high school and dated 12 years before getting engaged in 2016 and married in November of 2018 at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California.
Unlike many celebrity couples, Miguel and Nazanin kept their relationship as private as they possibly could, unless of course it came to red carpet appearances. Nazanin also played the leading lady alongside companion Miguel on his 2015 single “Coffee” and “So I Lie” in April 2021.
Hopefully the couple can reconcile or remain amicable with one another in the future.
