Kelly Price Breaks Silence Amid “Missing” Allegations
As her condition improved, Kelly Price was sent home with an oxygen tank and home attendants to assist her on her full-length recovery for the four-weeks of her alleged disappearance. Price confirmed that some friends and family members were able to physically be in her presence and were not permitted to violate the HIPAA law, or in layman terms – to disclose Price’s whereabouts and medical status.
Back in July, Grammy-nominated R&B/Gospel singer/songwriter Kelly Price informed her fans that she tested positive for Covid-19. Fast-forward to September, the singer stated that she nearly died of Covid complications and is still in the pursuit of recovering, rather than the speculations of her being missing.
The “As we Lay” singer became subjected of a missing person’s report filed on her behalf after family members and friends could not locate or had spoken to the singer after she [Price] had been discharged from the hospital. Cobb County authorities had later confirmed of the missing person’s report filed against Kelly Price, to which sparked worry amongst fans and peers.
Once the news broke on Friday [September 24], Kelly Price’s presumed disappearance, her attorney Monica Ewing denied those allegations. Followed Ewing, the likes of Mia X took to the defense of Price not being missing as well.
Kelly Price recently spoke with TMZ to clarify that she was never missing but was in recuperation mode due to her ongoing battle from the aftermath of the coronavirus.
“At some point, they lost me. I woke up a couple of days later and the first thing I remember is the team of doctors standing around me and asking me if I knew what year it was.” When asked to clarify what she meant by ‘they lost me’, she affirmed that she ‘died.’

“I was definitely being seen. The people who could actually say something were not allowed to because of HIPAA law, but I was being seen several times a week,” Kelly told TMZ.
“I was never missing. I was in my home being seen by doctors,” Price continued. “Everyone in my family knew where I was and I have to say that it’s really disappointing that thing came to this, but it was not true.”
However, one of Kelly’s siblings and children begged to differ, according to their posts on social media.
The powerhouse singer noted to TMZ that it was complicated receiving rest because loved ones would often come to her or her neighbors’ home, constantly calling her phone, or some sort of access to her and it was becoming unbearable at one point.
Currently, she received her first negative Covid test – however, is still battling the aftermath with a lot of internal damage, according to the singer. She also broke her silence on social media, thanking her fans for the constant prayers and reassuring that she is safe and sound.
