Joyner Lucas has been in the limelight for being scammed recently by a former affiliated party so seeing the star emcee release new music is a welcome sight. Add in the fact that he tabs legendary hip hop star J. Cole to feature on his latest single “Your Heart” makes it even more meaningful. The single features a melodramatic beat beautiful assisted by guitar strings and drums that add more life to the powerful bars from Joyner and Cole.

The single is based on men mistreating women in relationships from Joyner’s perspective and how Joyner needs to treat his woman better from J. Cole point of view. it’s a refreshing take on a collaboration from two artists that doesn’t feel forced but at the same time tackles real life issues and make it an enjoyable playthrough.

To go along with the audio is a cinematic visual that has the two emcees in a intense conversation where Joyner is defending his point of view and Cole is lecturing him on why he needs to be accountable for not treating his woman better. Multiple scenes throughout the video also has separate scenes of Joyner arguing with his girl.
