Looking to continue his momentum, Baby Keem is back with the quasi-deluxe version of his 2021 project, The Melodic Blue. Baby Keem has added three tracks to the end of The Melodic Blue including a remix to track 11 ‘lost souls’ now featuring Brent Faiyaz along with the inclusion of ‘hooligan’ and ‘no sense,’ the rapper explained in posts on Instagram and Twitter. ‘hooligan’ had been originally released in September of 2020 and ‘no sense’ carries an original release date of March 5th, 2021. ‘hooligan’ boasts production credits for Jahaan Sweet, Oogie Mane, FAXONLY, and Pilgrim, while ‘no sense’ is produced by Baby Keem and Jahaan Sweet.
It remains to be seen if these additions will serve as the official deluxe version of The Melodic Blue or serve as finishing touches to the first version of the project completing what many are calling one of the best albums of the year. The Melodic Blue currently sits at number five on the Billboard 200 chart with ‘family ties’ featuring Kendrick Lamar, ‘range brothers’ featuring Kendrick Lamar, and ‘durag activity’ featuring Travis Scott all making appearances on the Billboard Hot 100. As fans continue to keep The Melodic Blue in their listening diets they will surely discover new favorites from Baby Keem’s latest musical output. As fans scurry to figure out if more add-ons for The Melodic Blue are imminent, I think it’s safe to say that with or without more music from Baby Keem, his place as one of Hip-Hop’s rising stars is unquestioned.
