August Alsina Hints at Retirement + Debuts Snippet of New Music

In a recently uploaded clip, you can hear the melodic backgrounds seeping through the speakers and in conjunction, R&B singer/songwriter August Alsina nodding his head to the sounds. During the short teaser, two things that were noticed with Alsina was new music underway and his calm and soothing demeanor – as if he is in a good space in life.
The fans, however, became upset upon reading his caption in which many alludes to his retirement from the music industry. On the singer’s Instagram, he types:
“To all the loved 1’s who supported me; these last couple of projects are likely to be the last you see/hear of August Alsina.” The singer would continue on his post, “With that said, it is my hope that we can enjoy each other while I’m here, on my last victory lap around the sun. I’ll strive to make it as nostalgic as possible for you with beautiful tunes and high vibes.

Two weeks ago, August latest album “The Product III: State of Emergency” went platinum whereas five of his singles went gold (Kissin’ on My Tattoos, Song Cry, Make it Home (ft. Young Jeezy) and double platinum (No Love & I love This S**t) according to RIAA.
While August is still blessing us all with his music and transparency, let’s give him his well deserved flowers.
