Looking to continue building momentum, Meek Mill is back with the release of his second track in five days. On Wednesday, September 1st, the Championships rapper teamed up with fellow Philadelphia native Lil Uzi Vert to deliver his new track ‘Blue Notes 2.’ The newly released single is produced by Nick Papz and Xander directly follows the release of Meek Mill’s previous track ‘Sharing Locations,’ which was released on last Friday, August 27th. On ‘Sharing Locations,’ Meek Mill recruits Lil Baby and Lil Durk to rap over the fast-paced trap melody produced by Nick Papz, KJ, Svdominik, and Xander.

With the release of two new tracks within the span of a week, Meek Mill season may be around the corner. Fans have been waiting nearly three years for Meek Mill to follow up his widely successful 2018 album Championships, which featured hit tracks like ‘Going Bad’ featuring Drake, ‘Uptown Vibes’ featuring Fabolous & Anuel AA, and ‘What’s Free’ featuring Rick Ross & Jay-Z. With Meek Mill’s total now at four singles for 2021, fans may need to get ready for an album sooner rather than later.

It’ll be interesting to see if the release of these two new tracks is just a coincidence or the start of something more for Meek Mill. With Meek Mill’s impressive track record of great intro tracks such as the legendary ‘Dreams and Nightmares,’ Championships’ ‘Intro,’ and ‘Wins & Losses,’ the streets may be in high demand for some new motivation from the Philadelphia wordsmith.
