Tory Lanez Responds to Cassidy on “When It’s Dark” Freestyle

Tory Lanez is not the one to budge when someone comes for his neck. Ideally, the Canadian rapper is one of the few artists that their mouth may get them into hot water at times. Last month, Lanez visited Funk Flex at Hot97 premise -and delivered an astonishing 4-minute clip of spitting bars on Cassidy’s “I’m A Hustler,” beat. In retrospect, it was a homage paid to the Philly rapper. 

While many people were receptive to Tory’s lyrical creation, Cassidy was one of the few that opposed to Tory’s ‘hardcore’ persona – stating that some of his [Cassidy] context was used by Tory and there was no indication of saluting the lyrical genius or giving credit when due. 

Like many, Royce Da 5’9 expressed his slight curiosity – seeming like an instigator of wanting the two prominent emcees to battle it out. The legendary rapper tweeted to Tory, “You gon’ respond?” It seemed as of Royce prayers were answered, because Tory released a diss response to Cassidy – with a visual included. 

The production is from A$AP Rocky’s “Ghetto Symphony,” which a few bars caused the fans to drop their jaws.

“I leave Cas body in that casket his career in,” Tory warmed up subtly before continuing, “Ding, ding, ding, 15 minutes of fame is up. Was inthem hotels with R. Kelly/ we should flame you up.”
