DaBaby Issues Another Apology After Getting Dropped From Several Festival Lineups

Being opinionated about certain topics is one thing but spewing blatant ignorant comments while you are a public figure is on a different plateau. DaBaby is a prime example of stating an opinion going terribly wrong. 

The weekend fueled fire under the soles of DaBaby’s feet, being dragged from Hell to High Water after his alleged homophobic and sexist comments during his Rolling Loud Miami performance on July 25^th. After being cut from several festivals such as: Lollapalooza, the Governor’s Ball, and Day N Vegas – DaBaby issued a secondary apology toward the LGBTQ+ community on Monday (August 2). 

DaBaby took to Instagram and typed a sentimental apology once again toward the LGBTQ+ community.

“Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes.”

DaBaby continued, “As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me – knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance – has been challenging. I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That’s what I needed, and it was received.”

Well apparently, the fans are not empathetic to his sentiments. Deeming his ignorant comments should not have been justified despite his upbringing or lack of ‘resources,’ because clearly – this era of life is technological savvy where Google and YouTube is at the edge of your fingertips. 

Unfortunately for DaBaby and the likes of him, the main issue of his apology was seeming — it was merely not enough and want his childlike antics to be justified. Hopefully losing a few bags a consequential backfire, will permit him from stating some sensitive comments in the future.
