Young Thug at Rolling Loud Miami 2021

Young Thug season is approaching as the Atlanta legend took to the Rolling Loud stage to announce his new album Punk and perform a song from his upcoming offering. This comes on the heels of Young Thug going through the motions it seems every rapper does when preparing for a new album including dying his hair pink and clearing his Instagram of content. Punk will serve as Young Thug’s first solo project in two years following the release of his most successful album statistically, So Much Fun in 2019. However, Punk won’t be Young Thug’s first official release of the year as that title will go to Slime Language 2, his compilation album with his label Young Stoner Life.

Young Thug’s So Much Fun proved to be so much fun (pardon the pun, but we both know I had to) for fans to listen to with tracks like ‘What’s The Move’ featuring Lil Uzi Vert, ‘The London’ featuring Travis Scott along with J. Cole and ‘Hot’ featuring Gunna propelling Young Thug to his first number one album on the Billboard 200 in his career. With Slime Language 2 reaching a similar peak this year, the stage has been set for Young Thug to surpass his career-best once again with another groundbreaking album. With no release date being set as of now, fans are hopeful that new music from Thugger is on the horizon, and with Young Thug’s moves hinting at an approaching Thugger season fans may not have to wait too long.
