Hot 97 Adds Da Baby, Polo G To The Stadium Stage At Summer Jam
We are back outside and Hot 97 is making sure this is the biggest party to end the summer. Hot 97 announced over the weekend that DaBaby and Polo G have been added to the lineup to perform this year at the Stadium Stage. Polo G kicked off the summer with his new album, Hall Of Fame, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, making this the 22-year-old rapper’s first number album of his career. The album featured a star-studded ensemble of features including Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, Fivio Foreign, the late Pop Smoke, DaBaby, and more.
With a list like that, it should not surprise folks if Polo G already has a few suggestions on who to bring out on August 22nd at the MetLife Stadium. Foreign has already shared that he “needs” to hit the Summer Jam stage this year, so only time will tell if the two rap stars are planning to have Foreign come out during his set.
The ‘Rockstarr’ rapper is also set to his the Stadium Stage this year to perform his hits from his third album Blame It on Baby, which also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts, making this DaBaby’s second album to top the chart. The album also spawned the hit single ‘Rockstarr,’ which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, becoming his first single to do this. The ‘Blind’ rapper also has a slew of features between his three albums, so let’s not rule out surprise guests that may appear during his set.
In the midst of the announcement, DaBaby also made headlines this weekend as R&B/choreographer DaniLeigh revealed that she is pregnant with her first child, using her Instagram to make the announcement. It was reported earlier this year that the two musicians were romantically involved, however, it has yet to be confirmed who the father of the child is.
Fans caught wind that even though he didn’t make an announcement on his own, the ‘Suge’ rapper liked the announcement post on Instagram, with many alluding that he’s confirming that he is the father of her child. We’ll keep you posted on that.
The HOTTEST concert of the summer will also have performances by Coi Leray, Migos, Meek Mill, Swizz Beatz with a New York Tribute to the late DMX, Moneybagg Yo, Saweetie, special guests appearances by Rowdy Rebel & Bobby Shmurda, with New York’s native A Boogie to close out the show and more.
