Diana Ross Makes Her Comeback to Music
After 15 long years, Diana Ross has decided to make a big comeback to music. From being a superstar in the Supremes to her solo career, she has never disappointed with her dance hits in the 70s and her ballads that brought her fans to tears. However, her new single “Thank You” brings out some of the old Diana with some of the new Diana. This new single is the first of many as she has announced an album titled Thank You that will be released in September. Her recently released single is the title track to the album and it is looking to bring Diana back into the spotlight. As a member of the original Motown crew, it can be heard in her new single a little bit of the melody from Motown classic, “You’re All I Need to Get By”, by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. However, Ross uses her dance vibes to bring it to life in the chorus and sings “Thank you for the love”, making it known to everyone that she says Thank You.
The music video for her new single combines videos from her days in the Supremes, interviews that have taken place throughout her career, and other love and joy to bring to the world from Ross. As she states in the music video credits on YouTube, “This collection of songs is my gift to you with appreciation and love. I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to record this glorious music at this time,” explaining that all of the songs off of her new album Thank You are written with love to everyone. Including the title single, “Thank You”, Diana Ross looks to bring love, togetherness, and happiness for all. As Ms. Ross states herself, “As you hear my voice you hear my heart”.
