Looks like we may not have to wait too long for the ‘Take Care’ star to drop his long-awaited album. Drake appeared on a livestream interview during this past weekend’s rap battle NOME XI presented by Ultimate Rap League and shared in the interview his album will drop before the end of the summer.

When discussing the upcoming battle between Murda Mook and Reed Dollaz, set to happen at Summer Madness 11, the interviewer mentioned the battle will take place “at the end of the summer.” The Toronto rapper responded and stated, “Oh yeah, my album will be out by then.”

If you recall, the ‘Nice For What’ rapper shared in an Instagram story post this past January that he was set to release the album in January, but due to a knee injury, has chosen to postpone the album. The father did release a three-song EP called Scary Hours 2 to hold us over with features from Rick Ross and Lil Baby. He has also recently appeared on the re-released version of labelmate Nicki Minaj‘s mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty with a feature on the song ‘Seeing Green’ which also features Lil Wayne.

Are we ready for Certified Lover Boy to drop this summer?
