New Music Friday: H.E.R., Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Polo G, Drake and more

Today was a big drop of new music that we cannot wait to bump in the car. As the summer quickly approaches, artists are dropping bangers one after another in order to find the best song of the summer. With new artists and old artists, this New Music Friday hit the industry hard and hit it well. Don Toliver, Lil Durk, and Latto released a song off the movie of the summer Fast and Furious 9. Don Toliver has been creating summer smashes and looks for this song to be a big one. With such a big name of the fast and furious movies, this song is looking to gain a lot of traction and plays. 

Girl power has started to shine through within Megan Thee Stallion, H.E.R., and Doja Cat as these powerhouses dropped some new singles and big news for their music. Megan Thee Stallion cannot be stopped with her new single “Thot Sh—” as it marks another anthem from the artist. Since her break from music in April, this is Stallion’s latest release, and it did not disappoint. She is back and better than ever. In addition, H.E.R. has been hinting at an album release soon and sure enough, she dropped a single and release date for her album Back of My Mind, which will be dropped June 18^th. The single titled “We Made It” is soulful and groovy, typical to the style of the superstar singer. Lastly, Doja Cat released a single titled “Need to Know” coming off of her new album Planet Her which will drop on June 25^th. Off of her popularity of “Kiss Me More” featuring SZA, Doja Cat is looking to drop some bangers this summer with her new album. 

Polo G has dropped a fire album titled Hall of Fame with features from Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and more. At the top of the New Music Friday playlist is one of his songs titled “No Return” featuring the rising star The Kid LAROI and Lil Durk. Look out for Polo G as his album is on repeat. Finally, we have a song from artists who have been in the industry for a while and collaborated on a new single. “Having Our Way” by Migos featuring Drake comes off of Migos’ new album Culture III, which is a follow up to Culture II that dropped in 2018. This album has some superstar collaborations such as Cardi B, Justin Bieber, the late Juice WRLD, Future, and more. Let’s hope next week’s New Music Friday drops some more summer bangers.
