Polo G’s ‘Hall of Fame’ Drops June 11th
As the days go by, it becomes evident that Hip-Hop had a meeting and determined that June 11th will be the start of what could be one of the best summers the genre has ever seen. First, as I wrote yesterday, Pi’erre Bourne announced his highly anticipated project, The Life of Pi’erre 5 is scheduled to drop on June 11th and of course the Migos announced their project Culture 3 will drop on the same day. Now another artist has announced their highly anticipated project will be released on that same day. Yes, you read that correctly, Chicago’s Polo G will be releasing his highly yearned for album Hall of Fame on June 11th.
Along with the announcement on Twitter, Polo G released a short 20-second hype video for his incoming project in addition to the cover art which can be found on Apple Music. All that’s on the docket now for Polo G is the release of the tracklist and perhaps one more single. However, the additional single may be unlikely as Polo G has already released three this year in the form of “GNF (OKOKOK),” the chart-topping “Rapstar” and “GANG GANG” featuring Lil Wayne.
There’s still a lot of time between now and June 11th with artists and their teams finalizing tracklists, booking media appearances, and figuring out the best strategies for promotion. However, the waiting game for June 11th begins as fans are now able to salivate over the immense potential for great music and an epic start to the summer of 2021.
